Why we need goals ?

This year New Zealand is celebrating the Rugby World Cup and has gone mad for rugby. The importance of Rugby to New Zealand and even more to our school (Hampton Hill School) is clear to us with our school competing in several matches later this year.

It builds teamwork, trust, respect for each other and the importance of helping mates.  Many of us dream of breaking tackles like Sonny Bill Williams, making tries like Richie McCaw or wanting to kick the winning conversion like Dan Carter. Rugby

We (Boys are B.O.Y.S) realised that our school has one problem
. . . Our field doesn’t have goals.

This year our school is competing in a mini World Cup Tournament in Porirua and have been invited to compete against Cannon Creeks School. As well we will compete against Greenacres School for the cup in our annual rugby match.

In the past we have had to travel to their ground to play but with goals, would love to have Home advantage with our own crowd.  Imagine playing in front of a massive crowd cheering for us. We would also love just to be able to play rugby during breaks, score a try, walk back and kick the ball over goals.

Boys are B.O.Y.S have learnt that if you help someone, they will help you so we have decided to help get goals for our school by fundraising. Our goal is to get goals for our school.

For us, rugby is an awesome sport where we can just hang out with our friends, run fast, be chased down the field by a mate, make the try and, with your help, kick the winning goal and maybe even one day turn out to be an All Black.

Please watch our fundraising video and share our passion.
